The Restored Philistine Street at Kibbutz Revadim

Archeological excavations took place at Tel Mikneh, near kibbutz Revadim, from 1981 to 1996. The tel was identified as the Philistine city of Ekron. The archeological finds were exhibited at the local museum before being transferred elsewhere, but the restored Philistine Street is still there.

The restored street includes production apparatus used in the ancient city, including an oil press, weaving loom and artisan’s workshop. There is a restored burial site, a restored part of a temple discovered at Tel Mikneh etc.

Tours of the site can be booked in advance, by calling Na'ama on 08-8588781 or 050-6340941
