The monument is located next to highway 35, between Ashqelon and Qiryat Gat, opposite the Yo'av Fortress and next to the entrance to "Hamei Yo'av" ( the Yo'av Baths).
The monument is in the shape of an obelisk, made of Egyptian granite. It was placed there in memory of the fallen of the Faluja Battle, as it was called by the Egyptians.
The monument was built in the 1970s as part of the peace accords between Israel and Egypt.
